A Nixi is a person who takes great pleasure in declining to take part in anything fun. The word was used by people in the Post Office 100 years ago, but wouldn't it be lovely if it was still? Ruby from Essex says when you know a Pixie is sitting next to you, but you can't prove it, but you still know she's there. That's very clever to me. I love the fantasy world that Ruby lives in. But I think the winner has to be - because it's a really useful word.
