Moisha was the last thing Nickelodeon would show at night before it became the Paramount channel. The way she delivers her lines is like how you would imagine someone doing the princess and it doesn't always work, but it's always interesting. And also the sisters, because they are hilariously ridiculous. I'm so itching to talk about them. Because I know there've been a bunch of other adaptation films that have done better than this one.
Novelist Ore Agbaje-Williams joins us for a childhood favourite that almost threatens to fall down behind the couch: the straight-to-video Cinderella, starring Brandy, Whitney Houston and Whoopi Goldberg. We talk about the baffling charm of this adaptation, the star-power of the cast, the new Little Mermaid, the endless drudgery of the 'representation' conversation, childhood desires and much more.
