The Mixed Marriage

As a child, am there must have been a lot of tension and dissonance. I was the only kid in the ass with a protestant father. That made me an anomaly to begin with. When my parents had the kind of interpersonal tensions that any couple has, i oh, i knew that we had come to the living end when they began to talk about religion. It was like a running the wars of religion in your own home. If anything, i realized in those two people, in that microcosm and that mix, that holiness, like god, has many faces and speaks in many languages. And i find myself naturally, naturally open to the way god works everywhere,
