The RSC and the New Programme for Better Speaking in Schools
Fraser says the way that English is taught in schools should be left to teachers and head teachers. He thinks school 21 was downgraded after it adopted a new teaching technique which ought to be ruled out nationally because you have evidence. Fraser also gives his thoughts on KSDama's big speech but we didn't get your thoughts on RSC and the new programme he proposed for better speaking in schools. Nicholas Durgall: The problem with coming up with a curriculum for excellence is what this requires of academics unless these pedagogical techniques have been proved to work then you can't really be confident they're going to work.
