Why Did We Stop Being as Good at History?
I think there was a time certainly when people kind of took it for granted that history was important and valuable. And I think we've lost that, like for sure. Is that because of postmodernism? Because there was that sort of French informed view from Liotard grand narratives are over. Or is it something more banal? Just the time horizon has been compressed because people sort of needs and responsibilities are just operating on a minute to minute hour by hour basis.
