The Language of Thought Hypothesis
Mentales is an idea that your brain translates from words in the language you're speaking or listening to into your innate mental language. Another theory would say, well, now it's in a different language. This is sometimes also called the language of thought hypothesis. The grounding problem has been haunting people, really, for centuries. It's the idea that if you've got mental stuffthat stop happening in your brain, somehow it's got to relate to your experiences in the world. And so that brings us to the embodied simulation hypothesis. Itsa sort of away to turn that vague notion that maybe the body matters to the mind and create a theory out of it.
