Is There a Technique for P Hacking?

A p curve analysis is a way to look at the distribution of p values. If there are no effects, you suspect it's going to be uniformly distributed. So in that case, so the histogram we're talking about here would just be uniformly distributed between 0 and 0.05. But if some of the effects are real, real effects are going to tend to have low p values lower than chance. Around 0.01 or 0.02, you're going to see a bulge more results than that flat uniform distribution. That indicates that they are finding real effects that are not p hacked.
