Coleridge described a cycle what he called icarian credit with the various stages of a financial bubble. And that's what coleridge saw happening in finance. It was another 100 and 50 years before the famous heimen minsky came along and described the minsky moment, and was pooh poohed by the economic profession until it actually happened in two thousand and seven. So, you know, as i say in my book, coleridge wouldn't have been surprised in a way that the experts were.
