Communication depends on you being able to convey much more than you say. He pointed out that you always are conveying much beyond what you're saying. So I drive up in my car, put my window down, and I say, excuse me, there's a person on the street, I might have gas. And the person comes over and says, oh, oh, there is a gas station at the corner. In order for me to convey above and beyond what I'm saying he also called implicature which is not directly logical.
