Philosophy in early modern europe was both prolific and interconnected. Scholars moved around, wrote letters to each other and printed mutual refutations. Some thinkers resolutely refused to stay put - Giordano bruno is a good example. The reformation became a european phenomenon because of the movement of the reformers.
