At the end of your book, you spend a little chunk of time on privacy and calling attention how we should value our freedom to say no. Why was this so important to you? I think that's crucially important to developing a sense of identity. We have to be able to close the door, literally or figuratively, to lots of things, opportunities, and people. And really, that's the only way to develop a proper and coherent sense of self and identity.
