A History of Rock Music in 500 Songs

Richard Thompson spent five years away from rock and roll music. He would spend the next 50 years touring, playing hits he had recorded during 1955 through 1957. Richard eventually gave up performing live a few years ago as decades of outrageous stage performances had exacerbated his disabilities. His last public performance was in 2013 in Las Vegas, and he was in a wheelchair, but because he's little Richard, the wheelchair was made to look like a golden throne.
