Is Taproot a Design Decision?

There's some pretty intensive debate around ordinals and inscriptions. Some Bitcoiners consider both soft forks Segwit and taproot to be quote unquote attack on Bitcoin’s immutability. I don't think this is existential in my opinion, but some people certainly feel very strongly about it. It seems like there's still a lot of anxiety and PTSD around this within, you know, Bitcoin users. But we'll see if that kind of takes off or not over the next few years.
