The Anaheim Angels are in the hunt to sign Japanese star pitcher and outfielder Shohei O'Tani. The team is battling for a playoff spot, but it's not an easy task with 12 teams vying for six spots. If you were trying to re-sign him he would have bought into their chances of making the playoffs this year if they had been more transparent about how good they could be. He prefers the West Coast over New York; his agent has two homes near Dodger Stadium. And I think all of the American East teams are better than the Angels as well.
