England - The Consistency of Philosophy

From an England perspective, it was always slightly different because ultimately we only saw the players around about five times a year. And invariably we were bringing players in, so if we had a squad of 20 players, they're probably coming in from 10 different clubs. So not only are you only seeing them for 50 days a year, you're also seeing them from multiple different clubs, all of which will might have a little twist on a principle of philosophy. Some might press, some might go low block, for example. We felt it was even more important from an England point of view to really get that consistency. I think, as you say, most academies have that philosophy. Don't
