Fifth generation warfare is a synthesis of fourth and fifth generation ideas. It's about how conflicts are not limited in geographical space or in time, but rather omnipresence. The internet has made all this stuff happen faster than it ever could have been done before. And the battle space is kind of potentially everywhere, even though it's fairly rarely kinetic or physical.
