Three weeks is too long to use a nasal decongestant spray for more than three days. If you were heading into your fourth or fifth day, it's time to go back to your GP and work out a different plan. Dr Jessie: We don't fully understand why you get so-called rebound congestion. But we know that it's real, and three days is the maximum.
