CHAPTER

Introductions and Conclusions for a Book Review

Introductions are maybe the most like writerly part of the scholarly book. They often have sort of a handful of key elements that are useful to include. So I encourage people to start with an opening anecdote, or, you know, just a little hook. And then explain to the reader why that matters get some stakes in there so that they have a reason to keep reading this book. Conclusions, one one chapter would come after the intro but different people want to do different things with their conclusions.
