A ton of espur liners didn't want the wall to fall they wanted to keep their situation. Part of that is because of this power of imperialism in terms of its raw economic power and also stemming from that Mao struggled against for so long. You get these reactionary tendencies often run by like petty bourgeois adventurers who can then step forward and essentially destroy a whole system. That's the big lesson one of the big lessons to learn from that period leading up to 1989 to 1991 doesn't happen overnight it took 30 years of decay and corrosion.
