Advocates for highly productive biotechnologis would do well to redirect their efforts toward gen edited crops, which in many ways have a greater potential. You could get africans into into this game much more quickly since they are less expensive. There's not it would be an ideal way to improve orphan crops that are used by low income food producers an in developing countries.
