How Do Highly Colored Organic Compounds Absorb Light?
In leaves, there are highly colored organic compounds that hang out in leaves and they make em pretty. They absorb light in specific energy packets, and that really determines the colors that we see. chlorophyl absorbs the sun's light in all the regions except around the green region. The reason we see it is green is because the green light is reflecting back to us,. All the other visible light it absorbs and uses carbon oxide and water to turn into food for the plant god.
