"I do not think the church's teachings on chastity changed the way I behaved. It just made me feel really, really, really terrible about it," she says. "Even when it was being told that sex is a great thing and sexual experiences can be a great thing just at the right time,. It still just felt so deeply, deeply rooted in shame."
