The American Experience of Living on Planet Earth
American exceptionalism to me is like this image of a typical american abroad. And it's not just the cackiness that does it for me, but that they have and that they behave and interact with you as if you're a fuckin alien. I think we expect to be welcome anywhere in the world, which is an absurd thing to assume,. given how many a people our country has bombed and subjugated over the years. But then when we go and travel abroad, we expect to be treated like royalty and received with open arms.
