Sensory cells reflect different frequency ranges, and they'll sort of send a signal to the brain about different frequency ranges. So when we have a loud abrasive sound coming, pushing the eardrum violently, those three smallest bones, the ossicle chain, they're pushing that piston, sensation, and the brain. Those sensory cells can often be damaged the worst. And this area, when it gets to the cochlea, I'm a little bit rusty. Don't use this if you're studying for something like this.
