The Importance of Freedom

In the Christian conception our freedom really lies in our ability to pursue the good unencumbered by the millions of other distracting options. So for us when we're thinking about happiness, those things that do not constitute or do not contribute to the pursuit of goodness are not actually good things but it's kind of distractions from the end. The free musician is not the musician who is untrained or who has sort of never kind of honed their skills or kind of eliminated their, you know, sort of bad choices of music and these sorts of things.
