The Lamentation Over Pharaoh
Ezekiel says egypt was so powerful that others found their shade in your branches. And other nations again found their place, found their source of strength and security under the protection of egypt. This is a great history lesson for all of us,. becase we're like, i think i know all those places. I know assyria, i know ellam, i know edom. They're all there too. The people had placed their trust in pharaoh in egypt, and in his strength and in their power. And it turned out to actually be the worst bet of their lives.
