The Future of Inflation
During the pandemic businesses had trouble just meeting existing order books. So they decided to try to price ration. You know as new orders came in they they dramatically increased the price and they found that they got away with it. This is something we also saw in 1974. It's the way you had a material widening of margin. And so right now I do see businesses that are continuing to push on price wherever possible.
