The RD270 and the 60s was built. There is a powerhead demonstrator built in the 90s and early 2000s, I think maybe just the early 2000s. And then there's SpaceX's Raptor engine. So you talked about the combustion chamber and how damn hot things get high pressure, a lot of heat. How do you keep it cool? Well, one of the ways is to let it be engine rich.
