I think that there's cool things about coolness, okay? But I feel like sometimes what happens is somebody being their authentic self becomes cool. And then the cool thing to do or the temptation of cool is then to mirror yourself after that person. So if cool wasn't a thing, it's a good experience to say what if social currency didn't exist?
