Did the Majority of Germans Know What Was Happening?
I think the idea that people did not know what was happening is pretty hard to understand. Especially in well anywhere there were less than 1% of the German population was Jewish. But whoever Jews lived and they were taken from their homes or sent away, people saw this. People knew that the next door house was now empty and they could go in and loot whatever they wanted from that house if they could. All that the SS took over those houses and gave them two bodies and friends. I think it was very difficult.
