The embargo hasn't worked for decades because soviet union and venezuela propped up the human economy with free goods or discounted things like oil. But in the past few years, the embargo, squeeze wil started to work a bit better,. Because of a lackof outside partners and help, it's actually forced cuba adopt a few pro capitalist reforms.
