The Silence of Prince Eric
There's a whole thing about Prince Eric being adopted by the rulers of this vaguely Caribbean nation where he lives. But again, it doesn't amount to anything. The problem with a lot of these live action remixes is they're not just adding visual noise in terms of all this extraneous detail. They're also Adding this random noise in the plot and in the character that doesn't add a lot of texture.
