Mickey Okada is a karate expert and working mother. She feels the traditional roles of Japanese women in the home are more comparable than it might appear from the outside. In Japan, there's a word in no stando chikonomachi which means 'the base of the house' "I think that's the beauty of the Japanese women," she says.
