Translatability Crisis and Replicability Crisis in Biomedical Development
Translational research has been such a buzz word term in recent years, and it sounds really aspirational. What we mean by translation isat often people create disease models in animals so that they'll engineer some animal to develop symptoms that are similar to human disease. And if that works, then ey say, well, let's see if that translate to humans. But to do that, you have to go you know, find the resources to run clinical trials on humans. The failure of these clinical trials is something in the order of 80 to 90 or more % a depending on the type of disease.
