Avalo Catèsfer, the Thousand Blind Bodhisattva of Compassion
Avalo Catèsfer took a vow to save all sentient living beings in the land of Tibet. He said, if I get distracted for one moment from this task of delivering sentient beings, may I shatter into a thousand pieces. And he meditates and he meditates. We can only assume for eons, for calpas, for hundreds, millions of years. But when he decides to have a look and see how he's getting on at that point more people fall into Samsara than he has delivered so far. Abitaba moved by his plight reforms him again as the thousand blind AvaloCatèsfer - Bodhisattva of compassion.
