The Role of Social Media in Iran's Protests
Sasha Coppola: The internet and social media has played a major role in showing the world these protests. She says we know that young children, young girls have been targeted by sexual violence when they are arrested and put into jail. And even under suspicious circumstances, some have died; one of them was 16-year-old Nika Shah Krahrami. "I felt like that was incredibly moving for her to hear, you know, calling her daughter and saying, please come home," she adds.
