Incels have always been involuntary celibates, but they also derive a sense of identity from that. The current crop of incels are actually not out trying to seek mates at all. They would have made it a part of their identity only insofar as they were trying to escape that predicament. So do you see what I'm saying? Do you think this distinction's important?
