Is There a Return to the Roots of YouTube?

I missed the time where you would click on a YouTube video and you had no idea what it would feel like. I think we need to get back to, and this is not even YouTube, but the Vimeo staff pick era. There needs to be some version of the staff pick, something that's unique and interesting and worthy of being shown.
