The pain will stop for good when you're dead, right? The process of having gotten strong and having done it through hard physical effort teaches you about physical sensations. It gives you a different perspective on what pain is, what it's for, what good is it, what bad is it. And if you can get under the bar and do the fifth rep of a set of five at 405, what the physical sensation that you experience would be termed as pain or discomfort to someone who had not worked up to 405, right?
