Cassiopea is known throughout greek mythology for her arrogance and vanity. The sea nymphs, sometimes called the neriads, were outraged that a mortal dared to challenge their beauty. Poseidon flooded the city and sent a dangerous sea monster named cetis to wreak havoc on the kingdom.
