The Minowans were the first civilisation to establish a thalosocracy. The word comes from the Greek words, Thalassa, meaning sea, and kratos, meaning power. A lot of the frescoes and figurines give us a basic view of what they wore. Men usually coloured red or a belted loincloth, while women were coloured or white in a flowing dress is open at the front.
