Fritz and Hans's Plan

In this chapter, Fritz and his close friend Hans devise a plan to flee to Great Britain and live in exile, expressing their dislike for the soldiering life. However, their attempt to sneak out of the military encampment is foiled and Fritz faces the terrifying wrath of his father.
