How to Overcome a Traumatic Explosion in Chemistry Your First Year

Kristi: One of the biggest outreach events I do is called Energy in You. It's this gigantic hour-long show for third through sixth graders. We see about 14,000 kids a year and the show is set to music and it's full of explosions. And we specifically try to reach kids that are in schools that have large percentages of free and reduced lunch population or large underrepresented groups in science typically. While we see 14,000 children a year we have 10,000 kids still on our waiting list.
