The macabean literature is a really nice window, and we don't get a lot of windows in seeing the development of ideas. The sabbath may have been written on stones, tablets of stones, butthe only reason it survived is that it's its ability to be flexible according to the people and their needs across time and space. And i think that's really important overtime.
