Hoxie's Medicine Cures Cancer

Hoxie's hypothesis was that a major chemical imbalance in the body caused normal cells to mutate into a cancerous form. His medicines restored the original chemical environment, checking and killing the cancerous cells. He also had a medication he would give people that was basically just peptobysmal, which was a common medication at the time. Hoxie prescribed it to deal with the nauseating effects of his other mixture. Some of these drugs did have medicinal effects, but none of them cured cancer.
