In the middle of our week there, we had an outing which consisted of walking about five kilometers to this old stonored bridge. You can see the ruts, you know, where the horses and the doggies and the carts have crossed over it so many times over the centuries. So Jau Shu was named for the place of his temple, the city of Jau Shu or Chao Chu. This book apparently made a pilgrimage there to meet the great master. That wisdom that Haku and said is nothing but compassion.
