Is There a Cure for Colds?
People are receptive to information, but don't know how to use it or combine it with what they already know. If we give people only the path that gets you just from a cause to the effect, then they actually do better than doing nothing. But if we add in just a little bit of information, it becomes as bad as if we'd given hem the whole diagram. People need blinders: Nothing distracting, totally focussed.
