Is There a Historical Archive?

In 1987, I visited the town of Sivas in Eastern Turkey and photographed what I thought was a mixed graveyard. But it must have just been a lapidarium where some archaeologists had brought together in one place, stones from different communities that had been lying around in Sivas. And there was a place on the grass where you could see where they'd been lying. The grass was lying down, discoloured and flattened. So I knew that there was something odd going on. My cousin who used to live in Erzurum noticed the same thing. He'd come across these beautiful carved stones that the Armenians used to leave in the Middle Ages called Kachkar's Crossstones
