The Making of Picasso

The book is really about a bunch of people who lay the groundwork for the reception of Picasso in the United States. The collector John Quinn, the art historian turned curator turned museum director Alfred Barr and then two very important art dealers in Paris are just some of the main characters. So I wonder if you could just let us know a bit about these four guys and how you came to focus on their role in particular in this story.
