We're in It for the Majors, but You Want a Winning Team?
I knew that if we were going to challenge for the major honours and that's what it's about, fans. You want a winning team, we want titles. And frankly, we didn't have that firepower in the club. Meanwhile, we shipped on debt of nearly 450 million pounds when we couldn't afford it. So I felt that we did need somebody who actually could give the club some extra stability - Stan Cronkey. But at least I felt we had a shareholder who, if we needed it, could give us that leverage to compete against everybody else.
